I originally created this blog site for school post blogs for my MDIA class, but I'm taking the liberty to use it throughout my college experience.

Reflections on sound design
The scene above does a great job effecting the mood and feeling of it just by using audio. First it creates a representational space by just sound. If listened into head phones you can feel the direction of which the sound was coming from. When the bottle clinks, the man is sanding in the opposite direction of which the noise is coming from. The sound gave you directionality. When the man is walking you can here his foot steps. This gives the scene a sense of movement.
The scene also does a good job with different modes. The scene has referential sounds as in the man falling to the ground really isn't that loud. It also has semantic sounds. The pop can and the glass bottle aren't really there, but they are perceived as such in the scene.
